Surgery for Treasure

Treasure is 12 years old and has Blount disease. Blount disease is a growth disorder of the tibia (shin bone) which causes the lower leg to angle inward, resembling a bowleg. It is also known as “tibia vara.

As treasure gets older her legs further collapse. She buckles over sometimes on able to support herself, it takes her a long time to get to school and with a lot of difficulty. Treasures condition is correctable by surgery.

For surgery, consumables, hospital stay, feeding, transportation, caregiver and other miscellaneous expenses, we need to raise the sum of Two Million Naira (N2,000,000). Of this amount we have raised One Million Eight Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Naira (N1,825,000) from kind supportive donors.

Her surgery is scheduled for the 26th of July 2025 during the long holidays as she will be confined to the hospital until she is completely healed from the surgery.
