Treasure is a 12-year-old girl living with Blount disease, a growth disorder of the tibia (shin bone) that causes the lower legs to angle inward, resulting in a bowleg appearance. The condition, also known as tibia vara, progressively worsens if left untreated.
As Treasure has grown older, her condition has become more severe. Her legs often buckle under her weight, making it difficult for her to stand or walk for extended periods. Simple daily activities—like getting to school—have become exhausting and painful. Despite these challenges, Treasure remains resilient.
The good news is that her condition is correctable through surgery.

Funding Support
To cover the cost of surgery, medical consumables, hospital stay, feeding, transportation, caregiver support, and other related expenses, a total of ₦2,000,000 was required.
Through the generosity of kind and supportive donors, we successfully raised ₦1,825,000, bringing us significantly closer to our goal.
Medical Progress
Treasure underwent her first surgery on both legs on July 27, 2025, followed by a second surgery on her right leg on November 11, 2025, to improve alignment and ensure the best possible outcome.
Our visits to Treasure during her recovery showed encouraging progress. Medical reports and X-rays confirmed that she is healing well, with positive results. Throughout her hospital stay, she remained cheerful and hopeful.
Her older brother has been her primary caregiver, supporting her daily needs and helping her keep up with her schoolwork in preparation for her return. Other family members also took turns staying with her at the hospital, providing continuous care and encouragement.
A Major Milestone
After two successful surgeries and seven months of hospitalization, Treasure was discharged and returned home on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
The Road Ahead
The foundation will continue to support Treasure through outpatient care as she progresses in her recovery journey. To ensure full healing, she may not be able to attend the 2025/2026 academic session, allowing her body the time it needs to recover fully.
Our Gratitude
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed to Treasure’s treatment. Your generosity has made a life-changing difference.
May God replenish, uplift, and bless you abundantly through Christ our Lord. Amen.
